Bushmills

Bushmills Single Malt is the only Irish whiskey that is still made with malted barley. After the Irish whiskey craze of the eighteenth century, many distilleries switched to corn in order to meet the taxation required by the Crown of Ireland. This specific whiskey is offered in three distinct age categories. The oldest expression bottled is 47 years old. You can also sample the 12- and 16-year-old vintages. Its price varies depending on where you purchase it. Depending on your location, you can purchase Mortlach for as little as $42 or as much as $65.


Mortlach has a lengthy list of distinctions to its name. The distillery's signature 2.81 distillation method is one of these. That is a relatively large number, but you should be aware of it.
