2023 New Released Single Malt Whiskey from Scotland Irish China

Orkney-based Highland Park, founded in Kirkwall, Orkney, in 1798, one of the 10 oldest working distilleries in Scotland, has launched its a 54-year-old  single malt ahead of the distillery’s 225th anniversary this year, priced at £39,000 (US$47,000).

Bottled at 46.9% ABV. The whisky is described as ‘sweet, rich and complex’ with notes of lychee and camphor, vintage oak and delicate peat on the nose.

Irish

Amber Beverage Group-owned Walsh Whiskey has released the 2023 edition of The Irishman Vintage Cask, as the 15th annual release when it became the first triple-distilled cask-strength Irish  whiskey  to launch in more than 50 years, priced at RRP €145 (US$155).

It combines triple-distilled, aged single malt and aged single pot still whiskeys. aged in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels, bottled at 55.3% ABV, with a strong, complex and inviting exploration. The palate brings peach, apple blossom, fig and honey with a hint orchard fruits, vanilla and nuts, followed by a finish of oak spices and toasted almond flavors.

China

Goalong  Liquor  Distillery has launched its 2023 edition single malt whiskey at the beginning of Chinese new year, priced at US$99.

Aged in a selection of Tennessee, Ex-Bourbon, Wine, Sherry, and Brandy Barrels, bottled at 48%abv. The body has a pleasant, bright straw gold color, and the style is still based on sweet fruit flavors and vanilla, with a cookie and dried fruit texture, and a round and silky taste.

The different styles and ages of the original malts make this single malt more aromatic and layered.
